SAFETY POLICY

Prus Construction is firmly committed to providing a safe & healthy work place environment. Every effort is made to provide, within our control, the safest working conditions possible. We maintain equipment, tools & work sites free from recognized hazards, striving to minimize, hopefully eliminate, accidents & injuries on our work sites.

Hazard exposures can be reduced with appropriate work practices & procedures, as well as the use of appropriate personal protective equipment, which we expect to be worn. Our efforts can be supported by everyone following recognized safety practices, federal, state & local safety rules, as well as our company safety rules.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT

A full-time Safety Officer is part of our corporate staff. He works with General Supervisors, Project Supervisors, the Equipment Manager and Foremen to reduce hazards and provide all our employees a safe & healthy workplace. He is accessible to all employees, from the President through line personnel to address any and all concerns that may arise.

SAFETY TRAINING & COMPLIANCE

It is our goal for all management (General & Project Supervisors, Equipment Manager, Foremen and Dispatcher) to have OSHA Authorized 10-Hour training by the end of 2001. All personnel are to have the training by the end of 2002.

JOB SITE VISITS / INSPECTIONS

Job site reviews are conducted by the Safety Officer on a monthly basis. These thorough inspections focus on hazard awareness, prevention and solution. The conclusions of the review are discussed with the foreman and other personnel as prudent. Foremen conduct safety inspections daily.

WEEKLY TOOL BOX TALKS

"Five Minute" safety talks are conducted by the Safety Officer on a biweekly basis. Specific topics are selected with the foreman having primary input as to the subject. Recent incidents, especially injuries, which have occurred are discussed.
