TIMELINE

2000 - Two new officers are added to the corporation. Paul Long is named Vice-president of the Bridge Division. Michael Prus, Joe's son, is also named an officer of the corporation making him the 5th generation to be involved.

1998 - Company receives awards for best concrete pavement in the municipal classification in Ohio and Kentucky.

1996 - Company receives awards for best concrete pavement in the municipal classification in Ohio and Kentucky.

1995 - Company receives awards for best concrete pavement in the municipal classification in Ohio and Kentucky.

1992 - Joe and Bill officially take the helm of the company from their father, Ray Jr.

The company continues to expand with the purchase of a concrete crushing plant to recycle asphalt and concrete into crushed gravel.

Company is awarded Crescendo Award for successive years of strong growth.

1985 - Ray Prus & Son Inc. is awarded their first project from the Ohio Department of Transportation to widen US Rt. 22 through Norwood, OH. Joe Prus supervised this project that involved removing concrete walkways that were installed by his grandfather 50 years prior.

1984 - Ray Prus and Son, Inc. has explosive growth as a company as they expand to rehabilitation of city streets and improvement projects.

1957 - Ray acquired his first municipal contract for the company doing sidewalk replacement for the City of Cincinnati.

1956 - Ray Prus Jr. took over the business from his father. At that time, the company owned one dump truck, one pickup truck, and a small storage yard in Norwood.

1945 - Ray Prus Jr. joined his father in working for the business as a teenager after returning from World War II.

1920 - Ray Prus Sr., Herman's son, began working for his father. Ray also bought the first truck.

1888 - Herman Prus, a German Immigrant, came to America and started Herman Prus and Son, Inc. Herman worked by himself with a team of mules and a wagon. The company stayed in business by building porches and pouring small sidewalk jobs.
